sunblock

Sun Block
As promised here is a recipe for a natural sun block. The first thing that you should know is that pretty much all (if not all, all) natural sun screens use zinc oxide and or titanium dioxide as the main UV ray blockers. 1cup melted coconut oil
1/2 cup melted beeswax
1/4 cup hot water
1/4 cup vegetable glycerin
1/4 cup aloe vera
10 drops vitamen e oil
10 drops rosemary oil
2tbs zinc oxide powder
2tbs titanium dioxide powder
Melt the beeswax,  add the coconut oil and mix. Then  mix the glycerin, aloe, vitamen e oil and rosemary into the hot water. Then  mix that in with the coconut oil and beeswax then stir the powders in (DO NOT INHALE POWDERS). It take a bit for it to combine it all well.

This has an spf of 35-45ish. Beeswax makes it semi waterproof also.  Everything is totally safe for use on skin (0-1 ratings on cosmetic database for use on skin except vitemen e oil), but make sure you don't inhale the powders! Make sure you dont use if you are allergic to any ingredients. test on a small area first to see if you might have a reaction.

This is not really my favoright recipe and not one i will likly actually be using but it is the only thing i could find out that is a decent spf and natural.

So In light of that my personal preferance is coconut oil melted and mixed with aloe vera gel with just a tiny bit of zinc oxide cream and a tiny bit of bees wax. this is a recipe i came up with many years ago myself and like using, I have no idea what spf it is but i do know that I don't have any reactions and that it is natural. I usally make a small batch at the begining of summer and throw the reast away with in three months. I'm not sure what the exsact measurements are because i just kind of threw stuff in and came up with something that worked.
