some bathroom recipes


A clay mask can be a very beneficial thing to make yourself and use.
Small amount of Clay, Water, Herbs/Essential Oil Plain Yogurt if needed. Mash up clay and mix with water once a good consistency has been reached mix in herbs and oils.

Milk bath!
4 Cups Powdered Milk
2 Cups Epsom Salts
1/2 Cup Salt
1/4 Cup Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon of Almond Oil
Essential Oils
In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients together. Once they are blended, you may add the oil. Although almond oil is best, it can be substituted with olive or grape seed oil. Mix the oil in well so there are no lumps. If the texture of the mixture is very dry you can add more but don't add enough so that it wet. Add essential oils and again mix. Store the mixture in an air tight jar in the fridge. This makes quite a bit to you might have to use several jars!

Let all beauty products that you make using essential oils and or herbs sit for at least 30 minutes to let the herbs infuse into the product.

 
1 Cup of oatmeal
1-2 tablespoons of Apricot oil Herbs/Essential Oil
Hot water
One of the most popular face masks or bases for masks is a oatmeal mask.

Balm Base recipe
Ingredients:
1 part beeswax
1 part butter
1 part oil or oil blend
Instructions:
Melt wax and butter in a double boiler and stir in oils. Remove from heat and add fragrance and colorant. This basic balm can be softened with more oil or hardened with more wax or butter. This can be poured into lip balm containers or deodorant containers for use as lotion bars.
 

 Blemish Remover
Ingredients:
1/4 Tea spoon apple cider vinager
1 Drop Tea Tree oil

Combine ingredients, Use with cotton swab on blemish before bed.
This doesn't make a big batch but a large batch shouldn't be needed. and it only takes a second to make when you do need more

Another Basic balm recipe
This is a simple salve to put on anything from small cuts to boils or most anything.

1 part Rosin or a chunk of pine gum
1 part bees wax
2 parts lard or olive oil

Melt in a pan stirring constantly then after slightly cooled but still warm pour in to clean dark jars

Ingredients:
Essential Oils:

1 drop melissa
5 drops thyme thujanol
6 drops lavender

Base:
1 ounce unscented lotion

Preparation:
In small bowl, mix essential oils with lotion.
Use a spatula to transfer lotion to a plastic bag.
Cut corner of the bag to squeeze lotion into plastic bottle, like a pastry bag

Coconut powder deoderant
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cups powdered coconut milk
1 tablespoon pineapple essential oil

Preparation:
Melt coconut oil. Set aside.
Mix baking soda and coconut powder in a container with a tight lid. Add melted coconut oil and essential oil.
Apply deodorant with powder brush or puff.

Apple Honey Toner
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon honey

Preparation:
Stir vinegar and honey together in a small, clean mixing bowl. Store in a glass bottle.

To apply, moisten a cotton ball with toner and dab on your face, especially where you are prone to blemishes
